Raspberry Compote

Our raspberry compote is born from a passion for quality fruit and a deep connection to the Piedmont region. We use only selected raspberries grown in our hills, where the climate and rich soil naturally enhance the fresh and lively taste of this fruit. For every 100 grams of compote, we use 135 grams of fresh raspberries to offer a product rich in fruit and authentic flavour. The result is a brightly coloured, fragrant and slightly tart compote that retains all the character of freshly picked raspberries. Perfect on toast for a wholesome breakfast, raspberry compote pairs elegantly with fresh, creamy cheeses, or with more mature cheeses for a surprising contrast. It is also delicious with yoghurt, in a cheesecake or as a filling for baked desserts such as tarts and rolls. Each jar reflects our commitment to real, good, simple fruit that brings back memories of the flavours of yesteryear.

Varietal characteristics

Raspberries grown in Alba, Piedmont, are renowned for their exceptional varietal characteristics, which derive from the fertile soil of the Langhe and the region’s unique climate. These raspberries are distinguished by their intense, aromatic flavour, with a sweetness balanced by a slight tartness that makes them particularly refreshing. The flesh is juicy and rich in vitamins. The colour is a bright, uniform red, a sign of optimal ripeness, while the skin is thin and delicate, giving the fruit a soft texture that is pleasant on the palate. The artisanal care with which they are grown, which involves manual harvesting at the right moment of ripeness, ensures that only the best fruits are used, thus guaranteeing superior quality that is reflected in the flavour and freshness of the final product.
