Varietal characteristics
Plums (Prunus domestica) are the fruits of a tree belonging to the Rosaceae family, subfamily Prunoideae. It is a plant native to Europe.
The tree reaches a modest size, up to 4-5 meters. In spring it blooms with one or two flowers per bud, with very white flowers. It is a plant that withstands the rigors of winter temperatures very well due to its late flowering. Leaves are simple, elliptical, and serrated at the margin.
Fruits are oval, purplish in color, and covered with a substance called bloom. The kernel is elongated and pointed.
