The courgette (zucchini) is an annual plant.
It is sown between March and May to be collected until the first frosts of autumn.
The courgette is the immature fruit of a herbaceous annual plant of the Cucurbitaceae family, native to South and Central America that looks like a bush.
It has a cylindrical or round with white flesh, firm and full of seeds and green skin, streaked or speckled with yellow.
The plant produces flowers attached at the apex of zucchini, produced highly sought after because used in various culinary preparations.

The zucchini is constituted for the most part water, and so is a vegetable refreshing, lightweight, easily digestible.
