Italian Corona beans (Phaseolus coccineus)

After harvesting, we dry them naturally and pack them by hand into jars or bags. We recommend soaking them overnight before cooking to achieve the right consistency. Corona beans are ideal for refined dishes, elegant salads, velvety soups, or simply dressed with extra virgin olive oil, aromatic herbs and a pinch of salt. They are also perfect as a base for gourmet appetisers or haute cuisine side dishes.

We cultivate Corona beans with care, following sustainable agricultural practices in our Piedmont region. This is a prized and sought-after variety, known for its very large, shiny white seeds, thin skin and soft, creamy flesh.
They prefer fertile, well-drained soil and require a longer growing time than other beans. We sow them in spring and harvest them only when fully ripe, to preserve their delicate flavour and excellent cooking properties.
