Varietal characteristics
The grilled onions we produce are made with a Piedmontese variety of Borettana onion, known for its small size, tender flesh and sweet, delicate flavour.
Grown in the fertile soils of Piedmont and harvested only once a year, they are processed while still very fresh.
Grilling preserves their crunchiness and gives them a unique aroma, keeping all the qualities of the raw ingredient intact.
