Dried

Chickpeas (Cicer arietinum)

After harvesting, we leave our chickpeas to dry naturally, to best preserve their properties and flavour. We carefully package them by hand in jars or bags, ready to enrich any pantry. Before cooking, we recommend soaking them for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, to make them more digestible and reduce cooking time. Chickpeas are incredibly versatile: excellent in soups, salads, purées, hummus, meatballs or as a base for unique and nutritious dishes. They pair perfectly with whole grains, aromatic herbs, warm spices such as cumin or turmeric, and seasonal vegetables.

We cultivate chickpeas with care and dedication, choosing dry, sunny land with low humidity, ideal for this rustic and resistant legume. Originally from the Mediterranean and Middle East, chickpeas are now appreciated worldwide for their high nutritional value and full, enveloping flavour. The seeds are round, light beige in colour and have a floury texture after cooking.
We sow them in spring and leave them to ripen naturally under the summer sun, then harvest them when fully ripe. This ensures a simple product that is rich in flavour and suitable for long-term storage.
