The cowpea is a hardy variety with pods measuring 25-30 cm in length and creamy white seeds with a characteristic black spot (‘eye’). It is drought-resistant and grows well in dry soil. We sow them in spring and harvest them when fully ripe to ensure quality and shelf life.
