Dried

Black beans (Vigna unguiculata)

After harvesting, we leave them to dry naturally, then pack them by hand into jars or bags. Before cooking, we recommend soaking them for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight. Black beans are perfect for ethnic dishes such as chilli, spicy soups, salads or vegetable burgers. They are also excellent with rice, vegetables, spices and extra virgin olive oil.

We cultivate black beans in accordance with Piedmontese agricultural traditions. It is a rustic and resistant variety, with small, smooth, deep black seeds, highly appreciated for their strong flavour and creamy texture. They grow well in dry, sunny soil, without requiring much irrigation.
We sow them in spring and harvest them when fully ripe to best preserve their aroma, quality and shelf life.
