Italian red hulled lentils (Lens culinaris)

After harvesting, we allow our hulled lentils to dry naturally and pack them by hand into jars or bags to preserve their freshness and quality. Since they have no skin, they do not need to be soaked and cook quickly, making them perfect for those looking for a nutritious and quick-to-prepare alternative. Hulled lentils are ideal for creamy soups, light soups, purées and baby food, but also as a base for vegetable burgers or meatballs. Their delicate flavour goes well with hot spices such as turmeric, ginger or paprika, and seasonal vegetables for healthy, balanced dishes.

We cultivate our hulled lentils with care and respect for the land, choosing well-drained, sunny and slightly infertile soils, ideal for this rustic and generous crop. They come from traditional varieties, carefully processed to remove the outer skin: this makes them particularly digestible, quick to cook and also suitable for feeding children.

We sow them in spring and harvest them when fully ripe, selecting only the best seeds. After harvesting, we proceed with shelling and natural drying to obtain a healthy product that is rich in flavour and easy to store over time.
